Cars cutting out gradually

This is weird, was fitting my headunit the other day and, something went pop as i touched the wrong wires together,

Ever since this, the cars battery red light doesn't appear on the speedo on the first key turn, the clock doesn't appear before turning the key. The power steering, electric windows interior light and heaters do not work, however after driving 1 or 2 mins it all comes back on except the interior light and electric windows dont work! I'm just wondering if it could more than just blown fuses?!

rule of thumb: if you plan on fiddling with electrics, it is wise to unplug the battery first.

re check the wiring youve done with the stereo, sounds like youve done the old strip wires and join together with leccy tape lol check your earth and live feed make sure its all insulated properly and nothing is shorting

Yer I found the fuses and replaced, and now its fine

Also fitted the stereo went through about 5 fuses in the end because I found out that my car was wired backwards?

When the headunit forgets the settings what wires do you have to swap, the two grey ones that go to the battery?

Jord leave the wires, I'll sort that tomorrow evening.

Told you it would just be the fuses
