Locking wheel nuts and key

  1. #1
Hi guys I have recantly bought a saxo vts and when I went to do the cambelt change and wanted the wheel off I realized I have no locking wheel nut key, I have been into citroen and they want nearly £60 for it, is there any other options out there?

All I want is them off and I'll replace them with normal bolts!

    All advice very welcome

    Cheers sam

just take it to a tyre/exhaust garage. If you want it done yourself, then try and smack a size smaller socket over, or drill it out i guess? or weld a nut to the end of it

I've tried to smash a socket over it but just doesn't work! You can't weld anything on the bold because of the recess on the vts wheels. And I doubt I will be able to drill them a's there probally toughened alloy?? ......

Yeah on the bolt there is a small "nipple" and smashed the 12mm onto that! Was quite tight on the bolt but done the job! The hard bit was getting the bolt off the socket!

Just need to buy another set of locking bolts now. eBay looks best......
