Minilite Wheels

Just a quick question, would I be able to fit a set of 6x13's to the front. And then 8x13's to the rear? They also have 7x13's, but the difference wouldn't be as noticable, would it??

Any way, 6" front, 8" rear. What would be the pros and cons of this setup?
Also, just to clarify. They are Ford fitment, I believe, so 20mm spacers needed too?

    Thanks. Kyle.

Prob rwd ford fitment so no specers req.

    I'd steer clear personally.

Love the wheels just not on a saxo.
Leave them to the old skool rwd escorts and proper mini

Yeah these wheels are said to be escort rally spec.

The link, sorry for long link, but I'm on my phone so can't 'hyper-link'.

depends what tyre size your gunna have aswell, low profie/stretched tyres mean you'll get quick acceleration but strain the engine on motorways

    I don't do any motorway driving :-)
So I'm good to go ahead with these, lol. Just need the fitment clarrified, either bolt straight on, hub adaptors or spacers.

they will fit , you may need spacers for them to clear the brakes tho

I've just checked your thread out. You needed spacers on yours for that reason too? And how low is it if you don't mind me asking, as I'd have to go real low with 13's wouldn't I, lol.

you need to go reallllyyy low to pull off 13's. they look good, but not as good if your not literally touching the ground. i was going to buy a 106 with 13's but if i did i would've had to go for 14's as i dont think it wouldve got up my driveway lol as far as i remember it was lowered 120mm on the rear and 100mm on the front on custom coilovers and the wheels sat in the arch perfectly. Just the sill was almost on the floor lol

Blimey, that is low, lol. The only other size they seem to have are 15's. Maybe too big?

The rear looks a little strange with such small rims on. But I just love the overall look.

    Thanks again Crabzy.

lol Got your pm fella. wish you luck but as someone stated above you have to really go low to pull them off and with the dirty hump at the end of my street i could not go any lower than that 75mm rear and 60mm front.
The car is undering a huge project at the minute and the plan is to have hydros fitted so i can go as low as i want at a push of a button and not worry about humps

must be hell to drive with a speedbumps. Probably one of my faves on the site tbh. the wheel bolts ruin it though, they look very halfords-ish

There are 15's available, but I'm not too sure how good these wheels will look bigger. Plus it would help with the lowering situation, lol.

I'm keeping a close eye on your progress ;-). Looks amazing!

They look fine on old mini's & old escorts etc but dont suit modern cars IMO.

That's fair enough. Thought you may have meant mechanically wise to steer clear.

i always thought that ford fitment had a smaller size center bore so you would need spacers, or get the center bore widened but i may be wrong
