just wondering how often this happens on the vt models as the bloke at pages says it happens at least once a week as the fitting kits fall off with road vibration?

#2It does happen.....but once a week? Is he taking piss lol. Not heard of it happening often tbh
-
#3lol what have i got myself into, iv bought a car which loses its rear pads while driving :s
-
#4i said that to him but when you think if they sell one fitting kit a week with all the garages they supply. it shocked me how he said it.Quote:It does happen.....but once a week? Is he taking piss lol. Not heard of it happening often tbh
"yeah mate happens all the time we keep the kit in stock it happens that often"
i was like fantastic make no wonder it got no stars on the euro n cap. -
#5No starts is slightly worrying to be fair haha. I still dont think it happens all that often, never happened to me *touch wood* and you dont see a thread a week saying my brake pads have fallen out. Its probably the retarded garages they sell them to not fitting properlyQuote:i said that to him but when you think if they sell one fitting kit a week with all the garages they supply. it shocked me how he said it.

#6mine has just done it on friday, went to have a look today because its first chance i had, and half the clips are missing. bodger me thinks.

#9had one in today that pads had started to come out of, some retard hadn't fitted the R clip on the retainers at the rear, never seen it before on one thats had pads fitted properly though
-
#10i never seen it at work or even heard of it. was just a young lad telling the bloke at pages and i was listening and obviously joined in the convo. made me check mine when i got home though.

#11i had this happen on track lol, as i was coming off could hear metal on metal sound, had a look and some how one of the pads had fallen out, no idea how, the little clip was still there :s the metal sound was piston on disc, luckily had only just happened n was no mark on disc or any damage
