Spraying morette inserts

  1. #1
Hi, just wanted to know if anyone has sprayed the reflective part of the light e.g splitting the light unit it's self and spraying the insert where the bulb sits ? All the paint is chipping from mine.
    Cheers

do you mean the front cover that you can take off ??

No mate I mean taking the inserts out of the actuall glass. Like you can do on the standard headlights, smoking the inside lens. Just wondering if the same could be done with morettes

Surely they'd just be reflectors, and spraying would make em illegal?

I thought that at first, but people take the reflective parts out of standard headlights. So surely it would be the same as that wouldn't it

I thought all there was on the morette was glass and no plastic inside , never studied it.

I'm not sure tbh mate, just wanted to know because all the reflective part is chipping away from mine

standard lights still have the 'shiney' part inside after spraying which is the only part in the morrette lamp

Pretty sure they are like a sealed beam....they wouldnt come apart. If the inside of the lamp is peeling it needs replacing.
