gear box/clutch

   now then peeps any idea what my problem is....basically sometimes when changing from 1st to 2nd gear it sounds like grinding in sumtimes like a thud too, every other gear go in fine and so does 2nd sumtimes.

   definately got the clutch down? mine crunches 2nd to 3rd if i'm caning it as the distance between the 2 gears is longer and my foot moves too fast lol

   Could possibly be the 1/2 gear synchro mate, you can buy the synchro's and strip the box down and repair it, but 2nd hand boxes are cheap enough, problem with them is you always run the risk of it whining etc when you fit it

   Easiest option would be to swap the box over. Boxes can be anywhere between £50-£150.
   Depends what box you want to fit really mate. I know blackie_2k5 had a vtr box for sale. Or have a quick look on ebay, just search saxo gearbox.
