Difficulty with my **AIR BAG**

    "Firstly let me apologize guys as i know this has been poseted so many times plus its in the wrong section"

    BUT....

    Am haveing great great difficulty with my AIR BAG light

    All i would like to know is where the air bag ECU is and if i removed it will it be safe to do so and will it turn the light off?

    HOW CAN I GET IT TO GO OFF?

    Yeah my AIR BAG light is on too.
    It's just loose connections for the pre tensioners under the seats.

    Sometimes If I move them about the light goes off.

    Thanks buddy, but i have tryed all that and had no luck, can i just take the Air bag ECU out?

    yes take the brown plug out off the air bag ecu .... you will not have an airbag then tho

    Thats okay, thanks alot mate any idea's where i can fined the air bag ECU? and is this safe to do, wont go off in my face or anything?

    Air bag ecu is located under the carpet in front of the centre console.

    mine does this at 1st it was the passinger wire under the seat now it just does it 24/7 lol

    if you simply disconnect the airbag wires under the seat you will not eliminate the problem, the light will continue to flash.

    if you want to fix it properly get it on a diagnostic machine, otherwise, take the clocks out and remove the bulb

    ant bulbs mate they are LED'S (on the mk2 anyway)
    so if u dont really know what to do wouldnt recommed it as u can make a right mess of them

    had this problem myself but i got lucky and it was just a broken wire at the pre tensioners under the seats, good luck with your problem matey
