sticker bomb

   i tryed doing it on my heater vent just as a mess around and the stickers was just peeling off and not sticking how can i stop this??

   buy a bottle of methylated spirits and clean the plastics with that before you stick the stickers on it will remove all silicone and gunk that stops the stickers from sticking. If you want them to be permanent give them a going over with some clear coat or take them to a local body shop they will prob charge about a tenner as they always have clear coat in the gun at some point of the day.

   After cleaning off the plastic roughen it up slightly with medium grade wet/dry paper which will key the surface & you`ll get them to bond better.

   Laquer and put sello tape over the problem areas. You can't see it unless your looking for it if you know what I mean

   that is the worse advise ever why use tape when the two users above have just given the correct way to do it and without bodging?

   sand with 1200 or 1500 sandpaper, wash, dry and stick

   just use meth's mate should be fine its only the silicone / shit on the plastics that stops them sticking and meths is pertty strong but wont damage your plastics like turp's or thinners.
