cenral locking(answer needed for sat)

Right i have a problem my cenral locking will not open car been stoid 4weeks and now will not open
I press the key fob and the locks pop up then right away pop back down! I cannot oen doors altho i can get in via boot...

Anyone seen this before? And how do i get door open to inspect the problem?

i have no idea what is wrong but to have a look u need to take the door card off, i think there are 4 or 5 bolts/screws that hold it on
then its held on by little white clips attached to the metal door, i think its probably easiest to start at the bottom and prise it off abit with a screw driver until the first white clip pops off (which is located in the bottom corner) then just work your way arround poping them all off
there is a guide on here somewhere on how to take em off

Can you not unlock it then quickly rag the door open? Or is it locking up to quick for you to do that??

Mine started doing this mate, is yours the normal system or an aftermarket one?

My problem was that the door pin was jamming so the central locking system was getting confused. If you time it like a ninja turtle you can open the door as the pin reaches the top of it's travel.
Then it's just a case of taking the door card off and inspecting the damage.

Hope that made sense, it's friday and i'm ill with chicken flu.

Other thing you can do mate if that fails, as I just clicked on you can get in through the boot (missed that before

? Is climb in through the boot, pull the locking pin up from inside & hold it and open the door quickly

oh sorry yeh u need the door open lol

try getting inside and holding the pin up when someone unlocks it and open it if u cant hold it up then just try timing it just right lol

The handles seem to disingause when locked so i into open doors

I couldn't pull the pin up either, motor was pulling it down.
Infact i've been locked in/ out of that saxo more times than i care to mention.

Has the rod come off the back of the handle then? So the handle isnt doing anything at all

Yea was thinking of taking panel off theres 2 torques one in handle and one at front end of door behind dash but thinking of it i think that ones not screw in so maybe able to pull door card out! Hehe

Ye take the one out the handle mate and they just pull off

Then you can inspect behind it

Or you can spend all day out in the cold trying to beat the central locking

Mine used to trick me, i'd get in and go for a drive. Pull up to get petrol then it would lock me out. So i'd be stuck with a huge queue behind me waiting for my central locking to cheer up!

Oh and when i got out and wanted to lock it (especially important where i live) it would lock then immdediatley unlock again just to spite me.

I hated that car.
