just a quick question as to be honest with you, i have no idea what so ever what my options are about lowering my car haha...
just wondering if anyone could recommend cheap, yet efficient ways of lowering my car 40mm all round... i'm new to all this so not entirely sure what to buy - ive heard some comments about springs being rubbish and not to go for them? opinions? & what are my other options apart from springs?
i'm not looking to spend too much money, just wanted to see the price differences - any help would be hugely appreciated and +rep

Springs are fine mate, i have been running 50mm Apex springs bought from Kamracing i think and they have done the job fine, i didnt replace the dampers straight away and that didnt really affect the car, its not something you have to do i would just advice it if you want that perfect handling with springs and a good ride, i also would advise changing the dampers at the back as the original ones will do the job but may not last long, a lot of people have a lot of different opinions on this and that is mine.
the other options from springs are coilovers but if you want a good ride and good value for money your looking at spending around 500 i reckon. Kris b lowered my car initially, he is located not far from you here is his website http://www.krisb.co.uk/ get in contact with him he is a fantastic source of information and a top bloke
As for springs if your not looking at spending too much money and you want it to handle well but still look nice your looking at 40mm for handling or 50mm for looks really but 50mm will still handle well.
here are a few sites you can look at for springs and dampers:

    http://www.kamracing.co.uk/index.php...n/springs.html

Just to get you started if you need any more info pm me i hope this helps as i remeber when i was a bit clueless
