whats the difference between normal unleaded petrol and premium unleaded ? and does it matter if you mix them ?

Premium is higher octane fuel, comes with engine cleaning additives in.
Standard unlead is lower octane, with less cleaning additives in.

Some engines only run on premium, others run rough on it. Doesn't matter if you mix them, but I wouldn't bother putting it in a 1.1 unless before mot day.

Like I said some cars don't like Premium fuel what-so-ever so they run slugish, you will also have it cleaning the insides of the engine, so will be compressing effectively shite. Don't worry about it though, run it through then put standard unleaded in.
