Haha I was messing. My nan lives in Southport though

Check for moisture? If that's what's killed them, as far as I know, it will of killed the actual light units completely and will need replacing. I'm not 100% sure on that though, more like 80%....maybe 85% at a squeeze.

I know you where mate, just cracked me up Ye moisture can get into the lights and corrode the light boards, which obv will knacker them. So you will have to replace the rear lights.

I have some for sale lol

Although having said that, do the indicator/reverse/fog light bulbs still work on the rear clusters?
  14. #14

everything else except the brake lights sorry.....
  17. #17
Could also be a brake light switch.
Cant believe I forgot to mention that
  18. #18
in that case its just the bulbs or just the contacts for the bulbs that're on the blink. Bit far for me Crissie, sorry!

Missed that part Really not my day today lol
  21. #21
    Haha

Really do think it's the contacts or just simply the bulbs. It's not unheard of for two to go at once.

Although going off your other electrical problems Crissie, I'd suggest checking earthing points if you can be arsed. Failing that, call out a mobile auto electrician to check it all over. I did that when I first got my VTR...cost £40 and he fixed a daft amount of things all at once. Tend to find mobile people better as you can stand and watch!

rite iv dried one and changed the bulb.... i was a bit damp. but i cant press the brake and check at the same time? its impossible!

park the car so its either paralel to a shiny car (you'll see it in the reflection) or so the back end is easily visible in a house window (again you'll see the reflection)

French electronics for you. Do the same to the other rear cluster and maybe the wipers will go full speed!

Trust me, once you've solved the niggly electrical faults and it's running good again, you'll love it once more. It's just frenchy cars for you, engines are bullet proof but the electrics are done by a man called Cluseu who wears a beret, stripey juper and onions around his neck.

To respond to an earlier comment about the high level brake light still workng if the brake light switch was faulty then that wouldn`t work either. On saxo`s the brake light bulbs have offset pins if their not in correctly then they won`t work.

    Steve.

Already been mentioned that Steve. She's also mended one by drying it out, think it's a moisture issue.
