raceland induction

is there any point in having one without the cold air scoop? if not, can you buy them separate from anywhere?
  2. #2
so you mean have the pipe with the cone filter and no casing?
  3. #3
well looking at one, but yeah
  4. #4
well if thats all you want then all you need is any old 90 degree bend and any old cone filter lol no point in trying to find the raceland ones, the raceland cone is very small and restricive anyway most people upgrade to the green cotton filter with that kit, i dont think anyone would sell the parts seperately anyway

any reason why you dont want the casing??

It's the pipe and a green cotton filter, but no scoop for 25quid, but if you can't buy the scoop separately then I probs won't bother. Cheers anyway jeff

And I believe that is one of the last ones they have dropped the price a bit to

That's how much I would sell mine for with the green filter so your better off getting a new one with raceland induction kit

  13. #13

£70 is a bargain for it
And they look good in the bay

drove around with the green filter minus the enclosure for a wee bit and it was the same if not a bit more sluggish than standard airbox, although it sounded braw. added the enclosure a few days later... what a difference. much more responsive + throatier induction note.
highly recommend the enclosure for it

just received a raceland induction kit. Looks like a good piece of kit, delivery really quick. Only problem is the filter is not oiled, so have to go out and find some air filter oil whilst it sits in my room. Looking forward to trying it though

didnt know you had to oil air filters?

yh mate any fine dirt in the summer can make it through your air filter pretty easy unless it has a light layer of tacky oil. Upon looking at the filter in fairness i think it has a light cover im not too sure but gonna wack it on and hope all is good lol

They should be oiled but those crazy chinese like to randomly cut corners every now and then.
