clio 1.2 16v?

    looking for first car, wanted to know if the clio 1.2 16v's were nippy and if they are quicker than saxo furios or the 1.2s, thanks

    sister has a clio and it is poo mate. My old 1.1 would of tested it no problem. Saxo is a good first car, good community too if any problems come up. Goodluck!

    my 1.1i forte used to be quicker than the 1.2 clio's.

    Saxos are cheap and cheerful, and as already noted good community.

    In terms of speed it goes:

    Saxo 1.1
    Clio 1.2
    Saxo 1.4
    Clio 1.4
    Saxo 1.6 8v
    Clio 1.6 16v
    Saxo 1.6 16v
    Clio 2.0 16v

    i think clios are slow (the ones ive had anyway which was 1.2 16v and 1.4 16v sports ) both felt like a tank and needed kicking through the gears to get anywhere! my first car was a 1.1 saxo, way better car than the clio. i think the saxos are more reliable than clios aswell, 1.2 the icv and fuel reg went twice and i only owned it for 6 months, was fix by renault aswell! and the 1.4 i spent £700 in 3 months of owning, driveshafts, cat, engine mount and icv yet again! ive owned 4 saxos and only spent £700 on repairs between them, all around i think saxos are better cars. sorry for the lecture haha

    A clio is a hairdressers car lol
    I used my mums 1.2 wen my car laydown and i ended up wercking it trying to do 70 mph lmao
