My saxo just failed MOT on rear axel swivel joint
Does this mean I need a new rear axel or can it be repaired?
Guy that did mot says he can get a kit with parts to fix it for £25+vat but local pug parts said fixing it is a waste of time and money, better to buy a second hand complete axle, but then how will I know that this is not knackered also?
    What do you guys think?

    Cheers

i take it you mean the trailing arm? you need a big press to do it. pugparts will say that for couple reasons, one there wankers, two, they brake cars and jusy happen to sell them. if it was me i would buy a refurbed back axle then fit tht tbh, imaxles on here are your best bet.

i'd agree with pug pars though, 99% chance replacing bearings in yours will be a waste of time, contact IM axles or get a known good used beam
