Headlight Glue

   Can the headlights do without it?
   
   Im assuming it's to keep water out and create a seal around the glass? If this is the case, could you clean all of the glue off and use a thin strip of clear silicon around them?

   ermmmm yer you can but you will need to get sealicunt addhesive not a tube u wude get frm b&q u cud do but wen dry its not that addhesive anuff
   
   got sum around some wer but cnt find wer to get the name frm it
   will post asap wen found it

   I had to remove all the glue from my headlights as it went everywhere after i took it apart.
   
   As Beaney said get some adhesive sealent any car shop will usually have it about £3 a tube.
   
   If water gets in it can condensate and fog up yours lights so better to just seal it shut save any problems.
   
   Its what i have on mine and it holds it fine.

   That stuff is an absolute bastard to get off, but yes you can use any sort of sealant.

   Just done mine and its ruined my screwdriver! Dried rock solid onto it haha

    Just keep it hot. hair dryer/heat gun. should get it off your screwdriver

    Yeah first time i did it the glue went all over the bit i painted so had to go back to the start!
    
    Used a heat gun to get it off the glass and light etc took ages but worth it..
    
    plus i think its alot neater to use the clear sealent as the blue glue can go everywhere and be a bastard to get off everything.
