corsa over heating but not losing water

   just got a corsa b 1.2 for 50 quid
   its over heating but not losing water
   thermostat maybe ?

   check if the fan runs when the rad is hot and up to temp
   the rad fan switch on the side of the rad is common to fail

   first thing i would check is make sure the fan works, wire it straight to the battery to test it, if thats ok check the fuse under engine bay or were ever that is. then change the thermo stat or by a third party one. is the can ok when doing moterway driving?

   could it not just be air locked?
