Important! : bad times

    hi guys just picked the missus up from work... following a car threw the lanes and he slammed his brakes on so i did the same and now i got no powersteering, but on my dash i have a orange car with 2 's' shape marks near the tyres anyone know what it is?? its on a vts please help lol

    nope not the abs light as that comes on and goes off wen car is started

    Mine done this in the bad snow but went off pretty soon after.

    Seen a similar thing in a madza, it was something like the traction controll but its called something else, it changes the power going to each wheel...

    the way u described the light is the same as in the madza but i dont think VT*'s got anything like that :s never heard of it.

    I'd never seen it before as obviously there is no traction control system.

    try cleaning the abs sensor?

    I'd try disconnecting the battery for a while. You tried turning the car off and on I take it ?

    sports steering?? maybe stupid not really sure but could you of accidently pressed something?

    That light is the abs, so maybe you've got an issue with one of the sensors after slamming the brakes on.

    Has it gone off for good now?

    nahh still on will update tomo wen i get in car, if its still on im gonna take the wheels off and clean it!

    right been outside for the past 3 hours tryin to sort my ABS out and the situation is still the friggin same ive cleaned it ive disconnected the battery,fuses etc etc and still on any mechanics here that could point me in the right direction on how to solve it???

    chances are its a faulty sensor and the car has only realised because you had to brake hard
