PAS pump or alternator?

   my PAS pump recently has started playing up, bogging down alot. Gets worse when got lights etc on. didn't notice until just now, but my lights and interior light flicker when turning. could this be a dodgy alternator, rather than the PAS pump?

   Yes get your alternator tested free at Halfords.

   This happened to me. Mine was the alternator failing.

   had alternator tested, was spot on
   
   read 14.2v
   
   so must be pump then, was hoping it was just the alternator, ah well
