a "de-locking" thread

  1. #1
i resently had my car key's stolen from my house,i had an auto-locksmith come out an managed to re-code another key for the ignition but the key dont open/lock the door's or boot(cost £100 as well)
(it would'nt open the fuel cap at first but after a bit of force it turned an now it open's/lock's ok)

i've had the car/key back to the locksmith's shop 3 time's an all he could suggest in the end was to remove the barrel and take that in for him to look at........"more "

so at the minute in using my car but cant lock it when i leave it anywhere so i've been thiking about f##king the locksmith's off and getting my car de-locked,now im good with welding/bodywork/spraying but im not 100% sure on how i'd do it.(i know how to remove/smooth the barrel, ect)

how could i de-lock/smooth the car but still be able to lock it when i park up/leave it?

same with the boot, how would i de-lock it but still be able to open/lock it?

(i've seen these little button's you fit under the wing mirror but how do they work,is it on a door popper?

    thank's for any "helpfull" info..........!!

fit a boot popper to the boot and the way you can only open it from a button that u would put on your dash or where ever you want, and to delock is simple as i have read in other posts so just search the site and there will be someone who has done a step by step tutorial or showing thier progress which will give you the idea, or you could invest in a max power haynes manuel for a saxo, im sure it shows how to do aload of diferent mods and that delocking and installing a boot popper is in there too, it would be great for future mods too, boot popper new is ony 15 quid from hawk and the haynes mauel is 20 quid new or u could see if theres any going cheap on ebay, hope this helps

i dont want to re-move the handle's just the lock's

    and what i mean is....

if i was to remove the locks, smooth it,paint it,ect how would i be able to lock my door so nobody else can just walk up an pull the handle(opening the door and taking what ever they want)

    and/or

if i put a button under the mirror, how would i then make it open/lock the doors?

why not buy an after market alarm then? as that would act as central locking and wouldnt even have to remove the locks

no they are not. mrs;s had de locked doors and de handled passes fine. law changed when tvr rolled out the smoothed doors.
long as doors open and close its a pass.

and on other not don;t de handle its a fucking pain of the balls. poppers always need sorting out.
just de lock boot and put popper in that, i did a small guide in stickies. de lock doors is removing lock and welding plate over the hole.
if you have central locking then the blipper is the on;y way to lock n unlock doors so they will open. only reason to put buttons in wing mirrors like i did was to work the poppers

thank's for the info....(well not that about mot fail, lmao)

i did'nt think about aftermarket remote central locking kit's,are they hard to wire up?

its def not an mot fail mate 100%.

i got a hawk alarm and it wasn;t too bad to wire up few people on here have same and wired up themselves with limited knowledge. also comes with all details of where to find most wires and what wires so makes it little easier.
