Important! : PAS, quick question

  1. #1
just changed my PAS pump for a reconditioned one.

flushed it all out, done full lock to full lock, its all topped up. been for a drive, opened the resevoir and the fluid seems frothy, any ideas why?

also it doesn't feel much better than the one i took out so could it be something else rather than the actual PAS pump? ive had alternator checked, relays also fine.

its just becuse your bleeding the air out mate keep going from side to side with the lock with the cap off and let it settle it wont be frothy once all the air is bled out. leave it a couple of days and top up if needed don't forget to replace the top though as pas fluid is hydroscopic.

no need to take it for a drive just turn the engine on and lock to lock for like 10 mins.

is the relay easy to change? might give that a go. seems fine though. but worth a try i suppose

only seems to be heavy whilst movin, parked up, turns very easy.
