Hi all I need some help please

I have had my sax since July 2010.

Basically I have been getting around 60 - 70 miles to a tenner.

All of a sudden over the last few days this has dramatically dropped to around 25 miles.

If it helps the car has

    Induction kit
    De-Cat straight through exhaust
    No lamda sensor connected

Any help or advise is greatly appreciated.

price of petrol gone up so you are getting less fuel for a tenner plus depends how you drive

    Thank you for your feedback.

That is driving economically haven't changed my driving style at all.
And with regards to petrol prices going up surely that cant explain the extra 4o miles i am losing.

no lamda is not gunna help thats the main sensor which makes your car run at perfect combustion

When i brought the car I was told that no lamda sensor meant better performance is this true ??

Probably something to do with the lambda mate

As far as I'm aware the lambda sensor is used to measure the amount of oxygen in the exhaust pipe, therefore it can detect if the car is running rich and adjust the fuel input accordingly

    This gives abit more info

Thank you for all your feedback.

The problem is that when I brought the car the lamda sensor was already disconnected. So can that really be the answer to the poor fuel consumption ??

Plug the lambda sensor back in. As said before it's a measurement sensor for the car to Adjust it's fueling as required. It's like taking away the cars sense of smell.

You partly answered your question in your 1st post mate all the things you`ve listed won`t help your fuel consumption 1 bit.
