can my boot popper run off rear wiper switch?

   Instead of wiring a whole new live through the boot (atm the wire is just tucked away down sides and stuck to inside of window as didn't have time) can I just use the live for the rear wiper? I've heard people do it before but weren't sure if it was simple enough.
   
   I searched for a guide but couldn't find anything, cheers, D

   Yes you need to operate the switch & put a test probe on each wire the 1 that lights up is your switch + feed.

   i just looked at mine because its been de-wipered and i have 3 wires in mine
   i take it one is for power and one is for earth but whats the other one for?
   and did you do it delboy?

   Its been done on mine. Not by me tho. Yes your ash but I dont know what the third wire is for either lol

   No mate I haven't got round to it yet, I've already got an earth from the popper just need a live to give it the signal to pop! Will try do it after work today

   yeah can just look for the live then mate on yours
   easy , just wondering what the 3rd wire is lol
   there were 3 wires for my number plate light wires too in the connector
   2 were together so i just kept them ones together and the other one singaly when i fitted my led number plate lights

   Wud be apreciated. Also how much was your popper? Im thinkin of doing a smoothed boot and getting an aftermarket alarm so makes sense to do it all at the same time.

    Will try do a guide once I give it ago, been busy with college/work/gf so not had much time with the car.
    
    I got the popper off ebay, it was £14 posted, really good little kit tbf, defo worth it instead of wiring it all up through the fusebox ect I just ran the live through with a switch in the middle, ideally does the same thing, but then thought before wiring it through the boot I may aswell use what's already there,

    sure someone pasted up the guide form the haynes in ice section for wiring.
    and i did a guide in styling section for button and full wiring

    Sounds silly not too mate, ill have a look at getting one. It cleary aint all about the turning the key left and right and pushing it in to open The boot.
