Important! : Ecu problems ???

Right i'll start at the begining ...

my car ... was running perfect untill 1 day a few weeks ago it decided to cut out. i tried to start it again but wudnt start, when i did finally get it started it would cut out after a few seconds of running.

so i got it toed home and got a mechanic to look at it, he replaced the fuel pump relay but that made no difference, he then replaced an aerial in the ignition ? but yet again that made no difference.

he then suggested to take it to citroen to be put on the computer, i did this and it turned out the ecu was at fault, citroen were wanting £900 for a new 1 fitted so i told them to gtf!

i bought an unlocked ecu off ebay and fitted it yesterday, dissconnected the immobiliser and that as well, car started up but cut out after about a minute then didnt start again ?

i was thinking i never done it properly so read up on it and tried again today, i managed 2 start the car first time then dissconnect the immobilser then turn my car off, it started fine but then again cut out after about a minute.

so am now clueless on what it could be?

am thinking it is a fueling problem as i dont think i can hear the fuel pump working when i turn the ignition on ?

but surely that would of came up as a fault when it went onto the computer ?

if anyone could shed some light on this that would be great, thanks

If you can get hold of another fuel pump from somewhere i`d try that,or see 1st if you are getting fuel coming through from the pump.

Not 100% sure if would or not apart from an electrical fault the only other thing I can think of is a blocked fuel filter or blocked injectors.
