    what bhp u reakon these mods will do to my vts 1998

    thinking about

    cams
    remap
    421 stainless steel manifold

    or what other mods would boost it

    just need a ruff idea

    Depends on the condition of the engine if its healthy or not.

    But shud be looking around 140-145bhp at a guess.......altho it could be more

    also depends on what cams you use

    well i havent done i big check on my engine its done 100'000 miles but runs fine

    could i get i clean up

    Yer max 150 bhp but that be on the max side, be in the 140 bhp.

    What about induction ?
    Decent exhaust system and mani with Bmc or raceland enclosed usually make 125-135bhp so with cams and remap most likely 140-150bhp

    Yeh when fitting cams, make sure u got a decent exhaust system aswell as good breathing mods to be able to make the best from the cams.

    100k should be fine aslong as its been serviced well through its life

    I would say compression first and foremost for great power gain! High comp pistons/rings will make all the difference. TB's for good induction, bigger injectors, 4-2-1 exhaust, gas flowed ported skimmed head, cams (semi racing) and a good remap.
    But with that mileage i think rings are a must to have 'em changed!
