Lambda sensors and sleeving

Right basically i want to try my new exhaust system on the RR but it doesnt have a hole for the lambda sensor. I run an Omex and know you can "switch off" the sensor but i cant do this as i dont have the software. Can i simply sleeve my sensor? Will the car still run as normal? Thanks peoples

The second sensor dosent change anything to do with how the car runs. It just simply shows a fault that the cat isnt doing its job. Whether the lights on or off for that second sensor it wont change how the car runs. Or so I belive..

I would agree with this, as the 2nd lambda is after the cat, it should be reading clean(er) air than the 1st so it doesn't matter.

Sleeve stopped the 'fault' on mine.

What about the first sensor? I only run the one lambda you see and thats the one i want to sleeve or whatever i can as my exhaust has no provision for any lambda. Thanks for the replies so far

won't your car run like a bag of crap with no lambda though?

Oh I see what you're saying. In that case it wont run spot on but will still run. My old vtr engine didnt have a lambda, ran fine just very uneconomical.

I would speak to the people who mapped it Colin.

    Cheers guys for the help.

Yeah I did have it switched off, but had it switched on again and didnt seem to make any difference lol. The way I see it, the Omex was mapped to give X amount of fuel etc from the ECU itself and maybe the Lambda doesnt have much to do with it? I was hoping I could sleeve it and not have it plugged in.

    Ill ring the mapper
