High mileage

Hi guys looking to buy a VTR, seen one on a 52 plate with 154k on the clocks (19k ayear), with a full service history.

Just wondering how the cars cope with such high miles? Woryh looking at or should i avoid?

I know a test drive is the only way to tell for definate, but just looking for pointers.

it is quite a high miliage but how much has been spent on the car could have had problems then just been bodged. what is the price for it

all depends on what the cars had done + you can always do a engine swap for one with less miles

Milage isnt everything. my old vtr was on 143k and ran a dream.

Depends what life the car has had if been serviced correctly at the correct service intervals. Also if the miles are motorway miles then all the better.

thats wayyy too much to spend with that mileage imo
my vtr 3 years cost that much on 60k

You gotta wonder how much longer it will last, even if its been treated well and serviced etc.

Seems overpriced imo as well, if it was £500 then I would take a punt as even if it lasted another year it would be worth it

For £1200 you can get a decent VTR on here with half that mileage

look for another not even worth thinking about not like saxo's were limited edition they made millions of them you will find another easy.

My mates saxo is on 70k and he has had loads of problems with it but my other mate had one on 156k and his ran like a dream so mileage is just a number

ive seen a sax with 230k
also you can have 140k well looked after
or 60k seems ok but has been bouncing off the limiter every day either by a boy racer or a granny that cant drive
mileage means nowt it luck off the draw
if its got good bodywork is your best option as everything else is easy to replace
