Mk1 rear demister switch

   Helllo
   Are the mk1 rear demister switch's the same as mk2?
   As my switch in my mk1 has broken and some are for sale on ebay but are mk2
   are teese just the same?

   Yes all the same,you checked the fuse 1st?

   Thanks mate, the switch turns on the rear demister but the light on the switch doesn't work that's why i need a new switch

   NO, they are different.
   
   Mk1 stay on until you switch them off (physically click on/off)
   Mk2 self cancel after a while (just push in, don't click)

   yeah i thought that, i tried putting a Mk2 into my Mk1 worked but wouldnt light up.

   Also, I had a mk2 switch in my mk1 and it used to turn my side lights on with it, put a mk1 one in and it was fine lol
