   standard mk2 vtr
   EML has been on for a while
   does this look like a shagged cat?

   get a new cat before it falls apart. You don't want to lose your exhaust while driving

   why would my exhaust fall off if the cats shagged?

   It generally gets rusty pretty bad around the lambda sensor, eventually snaps off. And you definitely don't want the front part of your exhaust to snap as it might damage the whole car underneath.
