Important! : Fitting Remote central locking

  1. #1
rite got a remote central locking kit and the problem is i cant wire it in n need help.

Iv conected the Red to the 12v ( main unit of its clicking when i unlock so it is conected rite)

The black to earth ( main unit of its clicking when i unlock so it is conected rite)

    then it says the
Yellow/black and the yellow connect together then go to the blue wire on the door solenoid ( the solenoid live i think)

then the Orange/Black and orange conect together and go to the Solenoid Earth eg. the yellow wire

then the pink wire on the solenoid is the input to the solenoid that lets it controll all the solenoids
and the grey wire is also an input to the solenoid
(played about swaping my white wire and my White/Black wire between the pink and grey wires but all it does is, lock the car then unlock it straight away then blow the fuse?

    anyone got experiance with them?

    but when

anyone? theres basicly nothing in the search bit

Try taking them out of the equation for the time being and trying just the wires you mentioned initially. Also does it say what the white and white/black are for?
  4. #4
    unlock signal and lock signal

i dont quit get it but i fit a central locking system to my 1.0 saxo because it was manual and there were i think pink and grey wires which were for rear doors so if your just operating your front door u dnt need them just tie them up and get them out of the way. hope the helps lol.

    saxo locking is negative m8
  12. #12
as you dont conect the orange ( positive) to the solenoid like it says too?
  13. #13
@Saxspeed, all you need to do for the remote locking is to wire the live and earth (which you have done) then wire your unlock cable from the aftermarket unit to a thin grey cable at pin 5 of plug going into the Standard unit, and the lock cable to pins 7 & 8. (this is how i did mine) you can then go on to do indicators flashing and w/e if you wish

can you tap onto the original wire?

    anyone?

    anyone????????
  18. #18
yeah, tap into the wires m8
  19. #19
so unlock to the grey and unlock to 7 and 8? what colours are they?

so i dnt need to suply the solenoid with a live just the main aftermarket unit?
  20. #20
you only need a live to the aftermarket unit, lock wire is light blue and is pins 7&8, unlock is grey and pin 5, when you press the lock/unlock button the unit will send a small voltage down the right wire which operates the solenoid, (as the grey and blue wires are already connected to it)

    Tap the
    lock wire to blue
    unlock to grey

    conect the 12v and earth

    then thats it?
  22. #22
yup, and there should be 2 more earths somewhere as saxos use negative locking, look through your instructions that came with the kit to find a diagram fro neg locking, it should say which other wires go to earth, do these aswell and it should all work.
