Hi, I want to upgrade my brakes, i know i have a 1.1 and its not really much point but i only want to improve them slightly. I was thinking of putting vtr/vts ones on the front as i dont really know any better. would i need to replace brake lines or just calipers, pads and discs for this?? Could i upgrade the rear drums as well from another model as i know vt models have rear pads instead of drums. any help would be appreciated. i dont want to go all out spending and race mad as i havent the engine for this i just want to improve them. thanks.

#3first things first, if you're on about changing calipers and such from a VT*, do you have a car with 4 stud wheels?Quote:Hi, I want to upgrade my brakes, i know i have a 1.1 and its not really much point but i only want to improve them slightly. if so, its simply a case of getting the calipers, pads and discs and bolting them on. otherwise (3 stud) its a case of a whole new strut

Not too bad -
#6Changing the lines isnt much different to changing the caliper.
Either way they will require bleeding.
Good opportunity to upgrade to braided brakelines which will also slightly improve things
leave the rears as they are, drum brakes give a much better handbrake compared to disk when they are set up correctly -
#9ok, thanks!

#10I was literally gonna ask the same question as this yesterday,
I found these on Ebay, and wondered what people thought of them and if they would be any better than standard items
