My leaky Saxo

My Saxo has had a leak for sometime. Tonight I am a lot closer to finding it, with the thanks of a hose pipe and detective skills.

I do get a tiny drop or two if I hose on the passenger side, but this isn't my biggest concern. You see, every time it rains I am greeted by a puddle of water in my passenger footwell.

Knowing the Saxo is popular for it's sunroof leaks, I hosed over the sunroof for a minute and looked in the usual place. I didn't hose long enough to develop a puddle, but going by how daring the flow water was drickling in it at, I can very easily see how a puddle can form in a few hours! The water seemed to be coming from the fusebox, so after removing the fusebox cover the water seemed to come from the passenger window side air blower. It was probably flowing along the outside of the vent, but I couldn't get good enough of an angle to see.

I am sort of glad I have found the main culprit of my leak - now how do I fix it?

I have some black gutter sealent ready to attack the sunroof seal with at the weekend. Just need pointers or help to pinpoint the location with the most basic of tools.

When you open the bonnet on the passenger side behind the scuttle you`ll see a drain hole which gets bunged up check it because more than likely this is the source of your leak.

No pic mate but a description with the bonnet up look at where your windscreen wiper motor is its covered by a black plastic cover go along to the right of it & you`ll see a space right at the end of it there will be a hole.THATS YOUR DRAIN HOLE its this you need to check for blockages just get a screwdriver & poke it down.If its blocked then water will be around it & come flooding out on the deck.

Had the best look I could at the two drain holes, either side of underneath the windscreen - confused where this scuttle drain is. To the right of the plastic cover on the wiper motor, there is a vertical hole right in the middle of the previously mentioned holes which was very much unblocked.

Some pictures, in hope they might help somebody help me...
