Differential bearing change

    finally think i have solved the problem with my car looked at someone else's thread and saw there car does the same as mine which is when de accelerating it makes a wirring noise which they said was the Differential bearing any ideas how much this may cost to fix or anyone on here know how to do it ?

    Mate need to use the search button, i've covered this thousands of times! LITERALLY!!

    its the Driveshaft Intermediate Bearing, the actual bearing is about £20 Citroen ONLY but its a pain to fit and for £80 you can get a New Drivers side driveshaft with new bearing and just fit that. search it and i give a detailed description of how to change it. cba to do it here done it so many times.

    if its a furio, it won't have an intermediate bearing.

    to change diff bearings entails a full gearbox removal,strip and rebuild,so if it is the diff bearings that are shot either a re-con or good used box is the more cost effective solution

    yer thats what i researched and it came up with what you said its hardly noticable atm can hear it when deaccelerating at low speeds

    good used 1.4 boxes don't fetch a fortune, when we have them (none at the mo) we sell them for 70 pounds, can probably get cheaper from a private seller
