what tools

i'm currently at college training to become a mechanic. I'm looking to fit new tyres myself using the machines we have in the workshop. I would also be looking to balance them using a balacing machine. However i've been told I need a special tool to be able to get the alloy onto the balancing machine as it doesn't have a center hole to be able to just slide it on. Does anyone know what this tool is called and where I can get one from?

    Cheers

That special tool you refer to costs about 900 quid mate. We don't have one at work because of the price and there is no way you would make that back.
its cheaper just to take your car to quick fit and get them to balance it up after you fitted the tyre they only charge 5 quid per axle.

£900.00!!! hahaha erm, maybe not then.

It's defo not worth your while if it only cost on average £5 per axle.

Cheers for the info, looks like i'm going to Kwik-fit
