Headgasket thoughts

    im thinking about buying a furio which needs a new head gasket it is cheap but what kind of price and trouble am i letting myself into?

    depends how good you are with tools. its not the easiest job in the world but is do'able, either that or a fair few hours labour at a garage

    If you know what you doing its not to bad.
    Can get all bits needed for about £40
    However, if you dont know what you doing then dont bother unless car is about £100 lol. Cos labour at garage wouldnt be worth it mate

    As long as its just the HG and there is no other damage then its easy enough to do if you are mechanically minded and have the correct tools

    Depends mate, as when I did my headgasket I changed water pump, thermostat, cambelt n rockercover gasket, you will probs need the head skimmed :s Because you will take cambelt off so might as well change that same with gasket, n waterpump n thermostat all help with cooling soo is deff worth it, all depends on how much the car is

    Could just do a conversion

    yea same here did all of the above. yu wud need it skimmed and pressure tested as said. if the heads cracked from overheating then you wud pay alot more out.
    haynes manual i wud recommend lol
