The EML light has decided that it wants to say hello, the engines running fine so what could this be thats making it come on? it revs up to the red with no problem so guessing its not in limp mode. it only came on when car got to normal running temperture.
    any help will be helpful

    If its a mk1 then it`ll have 2 lambda sensors(I suspect)1 in the manifold & 1 further down.

thats my one, the minging leaky thingy.

follow your manifold down the front of the engine, you can miss it if you go under the fron of the car

There is a mount/bracket that supports the exhaust on the gearbox.

see i took my car into the garage the other day and they said that this mount had gone missing inside the gear box or some thing like that and the exhaust was loose and banging off my exhaust wondering if that had banged the sensor out?

Its just a bracket on the exhaust with a bolt going through it into the gearbox, either the bolt has broken off or the mount has snapped/corroded.
