basically couple of weeks ago my car started revving on its on and when coming to a stop or slowing down it stutters as if going to stall and even stall even when in nutrual and when driving at a steady speed the car stutters and looses moment but makes a hissing noise just before it does it, i took it to a garage and nothing came up on computers or anything and when they took it for a drive guess what didnt play up once i get in car 10 mins away from garage starts playing up!
so one day after work i parked up outside my house and it didnt stall but kept making the noises and stuttering and revving so i got out and all the noise was coming from the air filter(K&N cone) so i took the filter off and took it for a drive and for a hour of solid driving stoping starting worked perfect so next morning i put the filter back on straight away the problem started again!
so what i want to know is it actually the filter and can i put another aftermarket filter on it and it do the same or not or is it the actuall filter i have??
