engine swap

I'm sick of my dog slow 1.1 so it needs to go. I'm thinking of replacing with either a 1.4 or a vtr. Seeing as im going to the trouble i may aswell shove a VTR in there.

Now, how much modding to engine mounting brackets is there required?

Would a VTR lump dump straight into my 1.1 or not? would the clocks have to be changed? could the VTR lump use the driveshafts in my 3-stud hubs? or do i need new struts and an axle for 4-stud conversion?

don't know how to edit my post so sorry for double post.

Alot of vtr engines i've seen on ebay are from mk2's would these engines fit in my mk1????
