#3my head gasket is gone, i had it pressure tested yesterday, and im losing water. but the fan should only run until the engine is cool enough. any ideas where this fan switch is located
-
#5where is the switch?
-
#6its normally on the right side of the rad under the top hose
-
#7is it in the little black box on the side of the fan?
-
#8yeah think so mate
-
#9no its screwed into the rad itself
-
#10Right There's no switch on the rad. I've got a lil black box on the side o my fan with a yellow relay inside. Could this be it. I got my rad off a vts and there's no switches at all on it
-
#11Well there should be a switch screwed into the top of the radiator.

#12Put water in your radiator!
-
#14It happened to me, that is how fixed it, the car temp stat would go up and down then stay in the red, i wold turn car off and the fan would stay on.
-
#15I think then your problem was a seperate 1 caused by a faulty coolant temperature gauge sensor giving a wrong reading.Quote:It happened to me, that is how fixed it, the car temp stat would go up and down then stay in the red, i wold turn car off and the fan would stay on.
