Wiring Loom/Over revving problems.

Hey there. Had my VTS for about 6 months now, but for the past couple of months ive had no luck at all. My engine was idling at about 4-5k, and when driving, it was querky. Jolting about quite badly, also accelerating and engine breaking randomly. so i took it into the garage ive gone to for the past couple of years and "yeah, its the engine idle valve" which we replaced. Although the problem was sorted(or so we thought), its still not really very good, im now at 2-3k idle and it often jumps to 4k. In traffic, obviously fuel consumption is massive and the car over heats, so ive taken to just not driving it until its sorted.

Anyway, we've replaced various parts which could have been potentially causing the problem, but again to no avail. The moron who's had the car before me has tried to fit an alarm, leaving the wiring in a complete mess, and my mechanic and auto electrician both seem to think that the wiring/electrics of the car are the main problem. I bought a wiring loom, but it didnt have the wire on it for the power steering (mines 2000). So basically im looking on probable reasons and sollutions, where to get a wiring loom specifically for my car. has anyone had a similar problem in the past? If this doesnt work, then i think its almost certainly my ECU unit which is probably going/gone. which is abit of a kick in the teeth considering ive had it less than 6 months. But thats life.

    Thanks
    Mike.

1st off when the garage fitted the ICV did they initialise the icv before starting the car?ie switch ignition on and off 3 times without starting the car if you don`t the car will idle high in the rev range. As for the wiring loom pm mandyslover70 he breaks & sells saxo parts so might have the right loom you need.

Yeah we did the initialisation thing, turning it off and on without actually starting the car, and thanks for the heads up, going to PM them now.

    Cheers Steve,
