sub problems

    Hello people

just had my 15" sub wired up, and got a few problems with it

if you turn the volume up to much, it blows the fuse on the amp

also its like working for a few seconds then stops, then a few seconds later starts working again then stops

any ideas on how to sort these problems people?

i was thinking maybe the amp isnt powerfull enough

    Turn your gain down.

ive tried that, just noticed its the amp thats turning on and off if that helps, maybe the amps not powerfull enough

What's the wattage of the subs and the amp ?
Also are you replacing the fuses with the proper amp/voltage for the amp its self.
Also check the main fuse on your power cable.
And check that everything is wired up tightly and that no wires are touching each other,or exposed.
If nothing is working you might have a faulty wire or connection.

Does the amp protection light come on? Is it earthed properly?
Probably get more response in the ICE section

ill post a thread up in there its just the light that comes on on the amp when its on fades and turns off etc, ill check the earth and stuff, it just seems to be when you turn the volume up etc

Check that where it is earthed to, that you have sanded or scratched it back to bare metal.. I had this problem in my sax before, also make sure everything like the gain isnt all turned up high with the amp and sub..

checked the gain, and when we earthed it we did it to the rear seatbelts and we scratched around it etc, i could check it though
