Furio had it - break it or sell as one?

I've got a V reg furio in fairly good condition, small scuff on rear arch and hole in front bumper by towing eye - caused by tow rope -

I had gearbox changed, with new clutch etc, had it serviced, new tyres etc, on the idea that since i haven't done anything to it in the last year i'd spend abit of money on it.

Anyway, the 2 days after having gearbox done the clutch went and it developed a mis-fire. I took it back to the garage who done the box and clutch and was told it was the way i drive which is complete bollocks. (I use it as a van and do not race it round or anything and don't overload it). I cannot afford to have the clutch re-done as am now getting quoted extortionate prices. I am sick of the car now as does seem to be problem after problem and just want rid really.

Is it worth breaking it down? or selling as one? What sort of prices for selling in parts of as 1?

    Many thanks

What you getting quoted for parts/fitting on it mate ?

You could spend 70+ on a new clutch kit and just take a few days trying to fit it get a few mates to help out.. And if that fails horribly then break it and still make cash from the clutch

there are people on here that fit clutches dude.. quite cheap to.
    Look for people like crisB..

But you say you got the clutch done 2 days prior?
BLAME THE COMPANY THAT FITTED IT.

I did blame them.. They didn't take itwell. Basically I've been seriously mugged off. Last time I got quoted in the hundreds. So I bought a Sachs 1 from euro and had then do it for £100 cash.... Otherwise places were lolling at 200-300 some places up to 500!
How hard would it be to do it myself? I've got basic tools (am a plumber), n am mechanically minded.plus since it's been off recently shouldn't be any trouble there but what about alignment etc?

    Thanks for the ideas

How did the clutch go? If your new clutch is in there, it hasnt been fitted properly. It might need adjustment? It might have oil on the plates, caused by the gearbox oil seal pissing all over it.

Ive just recently had mine done on the VTS and luckily managed to get it done for cheap from a member on here its worth asking around or posting a thread too see if somebody could help you mate...
i rang a few garages before posting on here and some wanted silly money for it which i just wasnt prepared to pay.....

Do it yourself its not a too bad of job TBF its just lining the clutch up but you can get a tool cheap for that, you may not even need it...... once the gearbox is off its pretty self explanitory.

Well when i got the car back the clutch was really stiff, like i could feel it rubbing, and at a point as i lifted the clutch up it made a rubbing noise. I knew something was wrong and took it round the block and back. The bloke said that the cable just needed adjusting and did it.
How is it lined up? Is it simple as pushing the gearbox onto the engine so the lugs fit? if you know what i mean?

You get a little centring tool which is included with valeo kits.

Its just so the pressure plate presses against the friction plate and the gearbox shaft then slides through perfectly into the flywheel
