help i have no drive

   hi all , i was out last night in the vts and just cruising down the road there was a ping sounds and my gear stick popped out of gear into neutral and when i put it on gear i had no drive at all just a kind of grinding sound , i tried every gear and i rev it the mph goes up and so do the revs but no movement

   Sounds like a driveshaft if you're getting a grinding sound, As if your clutch went and you had no drive the engine would just rev as if it were in neutral.
   
   Have you looked under the car to see if you can see if the CV boot has gone and a drive shaft has popped?
