help please people, decat knocking noise :(

    just fitted a scorpion decat to my VTR which has a MK1 exhaust set up an there is a klanging noise when selecting second, fourth and reverse. I belive its hitting the gear linkages :/ can someone enlighten me what the problem is and how to fix it? help will be greatly appreciated. thank you

    i think you have answered your own question tbh mate on the cause of the noise, there is a small bend on decat pipes, maybe the exhaust is upside down? (if this is possible without hitting the arb and other stuff)

    if not then you may be able to resposition the exhaust slightly

    Get underneath the car & see if you can move the exhaust out of the way of the linkages,if the exhaust is physically moving then invest in some powerflex exhaust rubbers.

    got powerflex bushes mate, can you actually put it on upside down and will it damage linkages driving with it like that? dont know what you mean on how to reposition it :/

    not sure if it can be fitted upside down as i mentionned it may foul with things such as the arb. the bend in decat should be downwards to give plenty of clearance from everything

    i know :/ pain in the arse, just want it fixed and as long as it dont damage anything when i drive it, its cool
