Cooling system pressurising up

   Right Ive got this 1.1 eastcoast in at the moment that bleeds up fine but once run will pressurise the system up enough to blow the contents of the rad out of it even when cold.
   
   My thoughts are:
   
   Check thermo is working properly (even though its new)
   
   Headgasket (possibly but no other signs of it and the cars not had a hard life)
   
   Blockage
   
   Any other ideas?

   Headgasket or a bad blockage are the only things that could cause that much pressure in the cooling system.

   Flush you cooling system out with a hosepipe until the water runs clear if your still not happy take the rad off & reverse flush it.

   my old corsa did this pal, it is either water pump ceasure or blockage in coolant system, what ever it is dont leave it pal else the pressure will build up so much it will blow headgasket pal, what happened to me.
