anyone got BMC pics

im fitting my bmc the weekend and need to see roughly where it goes what i need to take out etc (this is my first atempt at DIY car)

did mine last friday, never done this before so im pleaed with it. the alloy tubing at the back is from halfords but its started to tear which is rubbish so gotta sort something else out.

waldo thats great thats exactly the kind of thing im lookin for although im pretty sure they have sent me the wrong size CDA because i cant see how the thing will fit, i took everything out last night and it wouldnt fit, ill try again the weekend

got mine from www.2modified.com, the site was recommended to me on here and the service was great. can't see why they wouldn't fit 1.1 because there universal. phone 2modified on 08707 668322 and ask

take all of the filter system out including the bracket mounted to the side of the engine. use the lengeth of bracket supplied and fit in the orginal brackets place (you have to make one of the holes longer because they to far apart), bolt it on and then position the filtre to see how much of the bracket needs cutting and where it needs to be bend. if you want anymore hepl PM me.

hey there, i was wondering whats the little red cone/filter thing on the engine block? and what does it do? cos ive seen a few engine bays on here which has it.. but im baffled...

what a night mare ive had fitting this blooody thing (im not the best mechanic) finaly got it fiited but no happy with the pipes they dont fit 2 well so ive ordered something from motorsport who say they have jsut the thing that is tailored for bms to saxos ill keep you updated, oh and in the hassle of fitting the thing today i figured its in upside down

Why are breather filters illegal?

I've had one on my ibiza and it passed MOTs etc.

Something to do with your not allowed to expose oil to the open in the engine. And the filter is doing just that. Something like that I've heard anyway.

Get rid of that alloy tubing mate, it sucks...
It tears very easely an then you wil be sucking unfiltered air in you engine...

Beter get a samco induction hose or something...
