As title says, only asking as i have a mk1 vts engine in my vtr and i need a new lambda sensor and I've found one out of a 52 reg mk2 vts. Will it fit?
Are mk1 vts lambda sensors different to mk2 vts?

#3lol id like a more positive answer
-
#4Yes. Even if they connector is different, you can just swap it over.
-
#5Yup.. it'll fit mate as said connector might be different but swap it over jobs a good-un
-
#6i dont have a lambda sensor though so if it is wrong then i dont have a connector to splice on to it
-
#7can someone please take a photo of there mk1 vts lambda pleaseeeeeeee
-
#8According to NTK...
Mk.1 VTS:

Mk.2 VTS:

... I would make them fit
although for some reason, the lugs are on the opposite side. Similar enough to be compatible though any splicing going on.

#9thanks for that i think i'll just buy a new mk1 no point in buying a cheap second hand mk2 one if its not a straight fit lol like i said i don't have a mk1 sensor to swap the connectors over, i could just cut the lugs off and fit it but meh not worth it, ive got mot coming up so i suppose i should give it a good chance as possible with a new sensor lol

#11euro car parts/106 parts/ebay (as long as you get branded goods)/motor factors etc i might go down to my local factors tomorrow see how they are compared to ones i mentioned above, i wanna get a good one though so your looking in between £50-70, which is a piss take for a sensor lol i was getting the mk2 vts one for £15 posted but ill just splash out on a new one lol

#13.. And avoid the universal no brand ones. You might as well just not bother at all if you fit one of them. Bosch or NTK

#14I asked at Citroen Le Mans the other day and they want 200 + VAT for one - there seems to be a few on ebay at the moment but the lead doesn't really look long enough - although I've a MK2 VTS most of the bits are MK1 as she's a 2000 model (changeover year). The current lambda is well rusted into the manifold but not too bothered as I'm buying a Raceland Mani. However the place for the lambda on the Raceland is even further away from the connector than the OE item - so again, worried about lead lengthQuote:euro car parts/106 parts/ebay (as long as you get branded goods)/motor factors etc i might go down to my local factors tomorrow see how they are compared to ones i mentioned above, i wanna get a good one though so your looking in between £50-70, which is a piss take for a sensor lol i was getting the mk2 vts one for £15 posted but ill just splash out on a new one lol
