gearboox help :wall:

   i dont know if i am seriously stupid but i have just fitted a new clutch to my mk2 vtr but no way can i get the gearbox back on . i have had it close a few times but just cant seem to get the holes to match up .... is there any tips you guys could pass on

   Did you centre the clutch with a clutch alignment tool? If not that could be the problem.

   yeah mate i aligned it ... i just cant seem to get the box to slide back in place. spent a full day on it now

   The box will catch close to where the bottom suspension arm front mount is. Trick is to angle the engine down on the passenger side for clearence and pull it forward as far as you can go. Double check friction plate is centralised else you will be wasting your time. PS.You don't have to use the special tool but it is better if you do. I use an old socket extension wrapped with tape about 2" from the end to get the right size lol.
