ECU locking random question

   When an ECU actually locks itself what does it do? cut the fuel pump? cut the spark? what? My old ECU has locked but the fuel pump primes fine and i have a constant spark.

   depends on the ecu.
   
   Usually cuts the spark and injectors, but not the pump

   Its a mk2 furio with a Mk1 16v engine but with all sensors changed to mk2 and 3 plug wiring loom, i have spark constantly and fuel pumping constantly but it wont start unless i change the ECU.

   what ecu do you have now?
