Westcoast to VTR

theres so many different articles on this but loads of different outcomes.

I want to put a VTR engine in my westcoast 1999, obviously i will need the vtr loom, ecu ect, but does it have to be from the same year? ie can i put a mk2 engine in it?

i have 4branch manifold and piper cam (roller rocker) already on my westcoast so this will also fit the VTR.

I dont want to just go out and buy a vtr because everything else on my car is perfect.

i dont know what threads you've been reading but every thread like this will tell you the MAIN RULE is to get the same engine which your taking out, so if you have a single plug 1.4 then get a single plug vtr engine, just causing a shit load of hassle by buying a three plug

only way to fit a three plug is to buy the three plug interior loom, or splice the two looms together

but one question why??? when you can just have a plug and play engine and do it in a day or two

manifold will fit, and cam will fit if you get the early silver top vtr engine
